Briitany Gordon – Pet Stylist
Brittany started her grooming career in 2007 as a dog bather for one of the top grooming shops in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. This is where she first gained experience in the dog grooming industry. Growing up she had a huge love and passion for animals so a career in the pet industry was her dream. As a dog bather, she learned the first fundamentals of proper pet handling and pet safety as well as proper washing, drying, and brushing of pets.
In 2008, Brittany worked her way up to be able to apprentice under a professional groomer. Through her apprenticeship she gained knowledge in how to properly access a pets coat and determine the proper grooming procedure. She was trained how to properly use clippers and hand scissor pets while maintaining their safety and comfort throughout the entire grooming process.
Throughout the years Brittany has gained a great amount of knowledge on both breed specific trims, and pet trims. She continuously educates herself through grooming seminars, dog shows and online training to stay up to date on the latest in the grooming industry. During the next year Brittany will be working towards her goal of becoming a certified groomer through The National Dog Groomers Association. She also plans on testing her skills in the world of competitive dog grooming.
Brittany likes to specialize in grooming senior pets. As pets gets older, the grooming process can become much harder for the pet to handle. Over the years, Brittany has developed a special way of handling senior pets to ensure the grooming process is as comfortable and as stress free as possible for them.
Brittany truly has a passion for what she does. She has had a great amount of experience with animals her entire life and has a deep love for them. Patience, compassion and safety are always a priority to her. She takes great pride in her work, ensuring both the owner and pet are happy and satisfied with their experience with her.
